After we got our e-mail Monday from our trip director a few of us started e-mailing back and forth! I've "met" Amy and Lori who are both going on my trip! This is Lori's first mission trip and Amy's 5th. 4th out of the country and first to Africa! There seems to be an immediate connection between us already - what a blessing that is! I'm tickled to have an experienced missionary with me - it just put me at ease! She was a wealth of information and encouragement to those of us going for the first time! She encouraged us to ask questions and she'd help all she could. I asked two questions and she was really helpful! I'll share more details on that later!

He sure looks comfy, huh? =) She is going to buy it and tell us what she thinks! From the look of things, we are looking at a 2-3 hour flight in the states and then two 8-10 hour flights to get there!! I bet I could use something like this!
We hope to get together soon. Even though I am still nervous, just having someone to share this experience with who has done this before helps so much!
Took my Typhoid pill last night and I woke up with a pretty good headache - Not sure if it is the medicine or what. I'm going to take some Tylenol and see if that helps. I was wondering if, as the Typhoid vaccine builds up in my system, I would get side effects. But I really can't complain if all I have is a headache!
I know a few of my last posts have promised "more on that later" - and I will. It is easier to think things through before I type it out. I promise I'll share more soon!
