Feeling MUCH better!

Monday night I was almost dreading taking my final Typhoid pill.  Sunday was the pits for me!  I went from the bed to the couch to the bed and back to the couch again.  But Michael put it very nicely - "No pill, no Kenya" - alrighty then!  Down the hatchet! 

I lined up coverage at work just in case I woke up sick.  But it was a great blessing to wake up feeling pretty darn good!  I was cold and achy, but no headache and just a hint of a cranky stomach!  I had my heater on at work and asked Andrew to bring me up a warmer shirt.  But by 2 in the afternoon I was craving chocoate - proof that I was feeling better!!!

I'm thinking that with the two live viruses my body just coudn't get ahead like it should.  And with each Typhoid pill I took my body had a double whammy to fight.  But finally it made enough antibodies to fight it off by pill #4! 

Anyhow - done with pills and shots until a week before I go.  I get one more shot (HEP A&B) exactly a week before I go and then start my malaria pills right before we go!

I'm starting a new list of things to do.  The girls (Amy and Lori) and I are getting together next Tuesday.  I'm so excited!   Amy said it was never too soon to start my packing list.  And I'm going to chat with someone Friday who just got back from a mission trip to Kenya.  I've got questions from what were his plane flights like, what was a must to pack and what wasn't to questions about who and what he encountered, what he did and how did he help.  I believe his trip was focused on education.  I'll post more on that this weekend.  I work Thursday and Friday at Marsh - so it'll be a few days before I post again!

I finally heard from Chick-fil-A!  He said I could pick my check up Thursday, but since I work I told him I'd pick it up on Saturday.  I'll keep you posted!

Thanks again for checking on me!  It's a weird feeling now that things are ramping back up!  Thinking about a packing list and meeting part of the team - WOW!  =)   I'm really getting excited again!!!
