They said that the new manager wanted them to call me and say that they had enough help and I didn't need to "bother" to come in.
Guess the new manager is a little upset at me for giving my two weeks, huh?
I was pretty mad.
Part of me wanted me to just go ahead and go in - I'm on the schedule and by golly I'm gonna work it.
But the BIGGEST part of me was thankful that I didn't have to work.
My attitude was one of "maybe I won't be 'bothered' to go into work Thursday, Friday or Saturday."
But then I realized that is not the right attitude to have. I needed to put my big girl panties on just take it with a grain of salt. I need to look at the big picture - God has shown himself to me over and over and I represent Him in how I react.
On another attitude adjustment...
I FINALLY TRIED SHRIMP!
Not sure I'll try it again, but I did it!
We took Daddy to Kabuto for Father's Day and we all had the Habachi dinners. Andrew and I had chicken, Daddy had chicken and steak, and Michael had shrimp! Michael gave me one of his shrimps and I had to try it. It took me a bit, but I did it!! I wasn't impressed with the texture and right before I took a bite I could smell the shrimp. That kinda tainted it for me! But I did it!
Michael thought I had my mind made up prior to tasting it, but I don't think I did. I told him I would try a fried shrimp or something like that...
Maybe...
